We are back in Kathmandu to re-group and re-supply for the next mission out to the east of Nepal. The plan is to head up the Bhote Kosi today followed by Tamba Kosi, Sun Kosi and then Tamour. It will be mostly a self support mission so the boats will be heavy. Lucky we have porters to carry gear up the Tamour!
It looks like a long way on the map and it probably is. We can get on one river and straight onto another all the way out east. This saves us a long bus ride on the way out. A 18 hour bus ride back to kathmandu awaits us on our return from the Tamur. We are expecting it to take us at least 2.5 weeks so will not be in contact for a while.
The team on this trip is Polly, Duncan Nagio and myself.
The folling are some pics from the Uper Modi Kola. The pics dont really do justice to the river. Continious class 4- to 4+ for 6 hours!
